Stress Management Workshops
Stress. We all talk about it but nobody does anything. And that’s a shame because the cost of stress is quietly eating away at the productivity of organizations like yours.
It is estimated that at any one time, 40% to 50% of all adult workers are suffering from the adverse and often overwhelming effects of stress (Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2000; American Psychological Association, 1997). In a study by Northwestern National Life Insurance, 70% of workers said that job stress makes them less productive as a result of frequent health problems.
What steps can you take to improve your company's productivity?
The goal of these Stress Release Seminars is improved employee wellness and effectiveness, and decreased absenteeism, all of which can result in increased productivity for your organization.

Customized Services
It is recommended that seminars and workshops be customized to the special needs of your organization, in the following ways:
- Pre-Workshop Site Visit and Planning Meeting: Dr. Partridge will come to your office to discuss the stress management needs of your organization, in order to plan the most effective program for you.
- Pre-Workshop Stress Audit: about two weeks prior to the workshop, participants are asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire about their stress symptoms and their sources of stress. The results of these questionnaires, which are kept confidential, are tabulated by Dr. Partridge and used to tailor the workshop to the exact needs of the participants.
- Post-Workshop Report: a summary of the results of the Stress Audit is provided, along with specific recommendations for maintaining participants’ Stress Management skills for ongoing reduction of stress in the workplace.
- Follow-Up & Booster Training Sessions
Training the Trainer
While the role of Human Resource and Occupational Health staff can include the responsibility of helping employees deal with stress, their training in this can be limited. Specialized training programs are available to train staff to teach practical stress management and relaxation techniques to employees. (This is not training in counselling.)
Services for Individuals
- Executive Stress Profiles and Consultations: in-depth and confidential one-on-one evaluations of stress problems, with personally-tailored strategies and coaching for dealing with them.
- Personality Profiling for Leadership Development: psychological testing and feedback for enhanced self-understanding and leadership style.
- Counselling and Psychotherapy: Dr. Partridge is listed with the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and as such, her psychotherapy services with individuals are covered by most Extended Health Insurance plans.
