Mindfulness Meditation is a simple, gentle, and effective mental training that is designed to bring the mind back to the present moment. It is free from any particular faith or religious belief.

Mindfulness Meditation empowers you to work consciously and systematically with your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges of daily life.

More than 25 years of medical research, led by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and elsewhere, has shown Mindfulness Meditation to be a highly beneficial complement to standard medical treatment.

Registration Cancellation Policy:

100% Refund if cancellation occurs on or before Friday February 10, 2012.
75% Refund for cancellations between Saturday February 11 and February 21, 2012.
50% Refund for cancellations on Tuesday February 21, 2012 or after the first class.
25% Refund after Class 2

ABOUT THIS COURSE:

The Mindfulness Meditation for Stress Reduction program taught by Dr. Kate Partridge is an intensive course centering on the techniques of mindfulness meditation and mindful movement.

It provides the opportunity to discover new ways to relate to life, for those overwhelmed by stress, pain, illness, and the ordinary and extraordinary challenges of daily life.

Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, University of Massachusetts Medical School, this program has been the focus of research for the past 25 years. This research has demonstrated that mindfulness is effective in helping participants regulate stress, anxiety and depression, and in living more comfortably with chronic pain.

Dr. Kate Partridge has had a personal meditation practice since 1990. She has been trained as a teacher of Mindfulness Meditation at the Centre for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA.

Kate Partridge, Ph.D. - Stress Release Seminars

Kate Partridge, Ph.D., is a Registered Psychologist with thirty years of experience in working to help people and organizations deal with physical and emotional problems resulting from stress, depression and anxiety. Having worked in hospitals for a number of years, she has been in private practice since 1996.

Dr. Partridge is an experienced speaker and trainer who has presented mindfulness meditation and stress management seminars and workshops to a wide variety of corporations, government agencies, professional associations, and charitable organizations. Her training programs are based on well-researched and scientifically-informed techniques, and they are presented in a warm and lively manner that encourages participation and active learning.

Dr. Partridge has had a personal daily meditation practice since 1993. She has received training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School and at the Omega Center in New York State. She has trained in Mindfulness –Based Cognitive Therapy with Dr. Zindel Segal at CAMH in Toronto. Dr. Partridge has been teaching meditation courses in London for ten years.
